The information facts of life

Information evolves in many directions, taking on multiple meanings.

most information doesn’t conform to strict boundaries

People don’t share information easily.

Yet it is a fundamental assumption made in planning any IT system - i.e. if you build it, people will use it.

Changing an IT system won’t change a company’s information culture.

The presence of technology, in and of itself, cannot wholly transform a corporation (or an industry!)
