2b. DEFINED Data Types

Example of a DEFINED data type declared by a TYPE assigned by the modeller.



TYPE identifier = STRING;
END_TYPE;

TYPE label = STRING;
END_TYPE;

TYPE text = STRING;
END_TYPE;

The attributes named id, name, and description are all STRINGs. However, the use of the defined data types help to clarify the meaning and context of the STRINGs.

ENTITY organization ;
id : OPTIONAL identifier;
name : label;
description : text;
UNIQUE
UR1 : id;
END_ENTITY;
