Mapping Entities & Entity Types

Each entity instance shall be represented at most once in the data section;

distinct entity instances shall have distinct entity instance names (i.e. the #number).

The entity instances need not be ordered in the exchange structure.

An entity instance may be referenced before its name occurs as an identifier in the exchange structure.
An entity data type is mapped by placing the #number in the place of the attribute value
