Two ‘Mapping Rules’ defined

Internal mapping
External mapping
Selection depends on which (STEP Part 21) Conformance Class selected (and stated in HEADER section).
If Conformance Class 1 selected
Use Internal mapping for single inheritance graphs and
External mapping for multiple inheritance graphs
If Conformance Class 2 selected
Use External mapping for all ‘complex entity instances’
